Prior Information Notice: PSGW01372 | Digital Solution to Support FCO Consular Training | Foreign & Commonwealth Office
Description
Knowledgepool is looking to appoint a provider to develop and deliver a learning engagement and reporting tool to assist/facilitate FCO’s classroom training courses. This is to include storytelling and skills practise, to our client, Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Our client requires a digital tool/application (for use on Android tablets) that can help facilitate learning, facilitate activities, and capture and transmit written and audio-visual feedback.

• Facilitate Learning: The tool should have the capacity to store videos, voice recordings, and documents that can be used for activities, which the course facilitators can introduce at ad hoc times to targeted participants. There should be a facility to record answers and findings to activities; The tool should be interactive throughout the week, enabling students to receive instructions and messages from the trainers at ad hoc and pre-determined times; it should hosting a forum/blog space; and host at least one eLearning, quizzes and various forms; we would anticipate using the tool for the facilitation of homework i.e. watching a video and recording observations.

• Facilitate Activities: Using 4 actors (as customers), the tool will be required to administer the logistics and interactions between participants and customers, including notification of timings and providing background to cases. Each team member will be required to meet with two separate ‘customers’ at different times throughout the day, as well as carry out a number of other tasks, so the tool will need to be able to administer and manage between 30 and 90 activities in total. Following each ‘customer’ interaction there is a requirement for the actor to provide a rating and record verbal and written feedback on the participant’s performance.

• Feedback: The tool should be set up to send a report to the external email addresses of participants at the end the 5-day course, summarising the tasks they have completed, including any facilitator and actor comments/feedback (nonverbal); the forum/blog space should enable the sharing of information between students; The tool should provide the trainers with a daily report that captures feedback from students.

• Support: The solution should be flexible: It should enable the amendment, addition and removal of documents and activities, as and when necessary; the Supplier should provide a support capability.
